Loomic

Loomic Studio Manga Artist Support Program

Full Program Rules

1. Organizer and program purpose

This program is organized by HES Technology, LLC (“Loomic”) to reduce the technical barriers independent manga artists face when producing multilingual editions and publishing overseas. Applying for, being reviewed for, or participating in this program does not constitute a promise or guarantee by Loomic regarding publication, sales, exposure, fundraising, representation, licensing, or any other commercial outcome.

2. Eligibility and capacity

Applicants must meet every requirement listed under “Who can apply” on this page.

Loomic may set capacity, waitlist order, and review schedules for each program period based on available resources. When applications are not yet open or capacity has been reached, Loomic may pause submissions or place qualified applicants on a waitlist.

The current application period runs from now through December 31, 2026 at 23:59 (Taiwan Time, UTC+8). Timeliness is determined by when Loomic's system successfully receives a complete submission. Opening, saving, or failing to successfully submit the form does not constitute an application.

The deadline applies only to submitting the application form. Applications successfully submitted before the deadline remain valid while meetings are being scheduled or completed, agreements are being signed, or accounts are being activated, and will continue to be processed under these rules and subsequent notices after December 31, 2026.

After the application period closes, Loomic may decide whether to extend or reopen applications based on staffing, translator availability, system capacity, and other resource considerations. Any extension or reopening will be announced on this page or through an official Loomic channel. Unless announced otherwise, the original deadline remains in effect.

3. Benefits and term

Each accepted applicant who completes the review, online meeting, and cooperation agreement will receive one Loomic Studio Professional Full seat for 12 consecutive months from activation. This benefit may not be divided, paused, redeemed for cash, refunded in part, sold, transferred, exchanged, or replaced with another product or service.

In addition to the monthly Credits included with the Professional plan, each participant will receive a one-time bonus of 100,000 Credits when the account is activated. Monthly Credits reset at the start of each usage cycle and unused amounts do not roll over. The 100,000 bonus Credits remain available throughout the program term and do not reset monthly. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or moved to another account. Any unused bonus Credits expire when the plan or participation ends.

The cooperation agreement and activation notice will state the plan benefits, activation deadline, and valid term. If the public plan changes before signing, the agreement signed by both parties controls. Once activated, the core benefits stated in the agreement will generally remain in effect throughout the original cooperation period. If changes are required due to law, security, third-party services, or force majeure, Loomic will provide advance notice whenever reasonably practicable.

4. Permitted use

Participants may use the plan for works for which they hold the necessary rights, and may use completed results they have independently reviewed to pitch, promote, publish, sell, or otherwise lawfully distribute their own works commercially.

The plan may not serve as a substitute account for a publisher, translation company, content agency, or other organization, and may not be used to handle third-party client work at scale. Participants may collaborate with co-authors, assistants, or independent contractors, but must ensure that account access, project permissions, and material sharing comply with Loomic Studio's account and permission requirements and do not transfer the program benefit.

5. Account and information security

The plan may only be activated on a Loomic account owned and controlled by the approved applicant. Participants must protect their login information, configure appropriate project permissions, and take responsibility for activity under the account. Participants may not share their login credentials, rent out the account, evade Credit or technical limits, engage in automated abuse, or interfere with the service, models, or security mechanisms.

6. Rights and responsibilities

Participation does not give Loomic ownership of an applicant's work. Applicants retain their existing copyrights and other rights. Loomic processes uploaded content only as necessary to provide the service and as described in the Terms of Use.

Applicants must hold the necessary rights to all text, images, fonts, and other materials they upload, translate, edit, share, export, publish, or distribute, and must independently obtain any permissions required from co-authors, publishers, platforms, font vendors, translators, or other rights holders. Loomic's review only determines program eligibility and does not constitute copyright, trademark, contract, or regulatory review on the applicant's behalf.

AI-generated text, recognition, image retouching, and layout results may contain errors. Before public or commercial release, participants must personally conduct or arrange appropriate review of translation, cultural context, facts, layout, and rights.

7. Private works and AI training

Private project files uploaded through a Professional account under this program are handled according to Loomic Studio's Professional content privacy standards and are not used to train AI models. Data processing, retention, service providers, and cross-border transfers are governed by the Loomic Studio Privacy Policy.

8. Verification, suspension, and cancellation

To protect fair access to resources and service security, Loomic may reasonably require applicants to provide additional evidence of creator identity, their relationship to a work, the source of their rights, or their intended use.

Loomic may reject an application, remove an applicant from the waitlist, suspend benefits, or terminate participation in any of the following circumstances:

  • Information is false, materially incomplete, impersonated, or cannot reasonably be verified.
  • Benefits are claimed more than once, resold, rented, transferred, or accessed through a shared account, or technical measures are used to evade restrictions.
  • Third-party rights are infringed, or laws, the Terms of Use, or security requirements are violated.
  • The participant creates a material security, legal, or operational risk to Loomic, other users, or third parties.

Except in cases of fraud, material infringement, a security incident, illegal content, or another situation requiring immediate action, Loomic will generally notify the participant first and provide a reasonable period to explain or remedy the issue. When eligibility ends, any unused benefit period and Credits expire at the same time and cannot be redeemed or compensated. Valid services purchased separately by the participant remain subject to their purchase terms.

9. Program changes or termination

Loomic may change the application period, review process, or content of future program rounds, or suspend or end the program early, due to capacity, system resources, product changes, law, security, force majeure, or other reasonable operational needs. Material changes will be announced on this page, by application email, or through in-service notices, with the aim of minimizing adverse effects on participants whose benefits have already been activated.

If a change affects only applications that have not been approved or activated, the revised rules apply. Benefits already activated will be handled under Section 3 of these rules.

10. Relationship to other terms

When using Loomic Studio, participants must also comply with the cooperation agreement signed by both parties, the Loomic Studio Terms of Use, and the Loomic Studio Privacy Policy. These rules primarily govern public eligibility and benefits under the support program. Rights and obligations for an individual engagement are governed by the signed cooperation agreement, while use of the platform is governed by the Terms of Use. If an activation notice provides more specific activation dates, expiration dates, or account information, the activation notice controls those details.

11. Final interpretation

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Loomic retains final review, decision-making, and interpretive authority over these program rules, eligibility, review results, capacity allocation, waitlist arrangements, limited services, and matters not addressed here. Any interpretation must comply with mandatory or prohibitory legal provisions and does not affect participants' statutory rights or rights expressly provided in a cooperation agreement signed by both parties.
